Imagine your favorite holiday. Now imagine it at the Happiest Place on Earth. That is one special Christmas you'll have.
Disneyland during the holidays is a very special experience. The music on Main Street is differant from the normal ragtime. Instead there is the classic Christmas songs that we all know and love. The street lamps on Main Street have wreaths on them as do the buildings. One of the more iconic Christmas events is the decorating of "Its a Small World". The entire attraction is decked out woth millions of lights. The usuall small world music is mixed with the classic Christmas songs to create a chorus of children around the world celebrating a joyous holiday. The second big Christmas change that is made during the holidays is the never ending Haunted Mansion Holiday. The classic Haunted Mansion is decorated after "The Nightmare Before Christmas" movie. This goes for about 6 months. This is the most popular thing at Christmas time and is usally the most crowded.
The main decorations of the park are on the castle. The castle itself is covered with thousands of lights that sparkle and shine at night. The lights from iceacles as well as snow. The top of the castle is spotted with patches of snow and a light powery snow covers the less snow packed areas. The castle is a stunning sight and is admired by every guest that lays eyes on it. It completes the home like feel that Disneyland has during the Christmas season. Even though you are on a vacation, youi feel like you are at home with your family.
The other main event that the geusts enjoy the mnost is when the fireworks show is over, it snows. Yes, it snows all over the parade route and in other areas of the park. This is the Disney magic people come from all over the world to see. Snow in California.
These decorations and events paired with the Night time fireworks and parades, make for a home like and fun filled Christmas at the Happiest place on earth. This is what Disneyland is really about. The magical feel that you get on Christmas Eve. That feeling of excited and nervous at the same time. I think it is one of the best times to go to Disneyland, despite the crowds. The Christmas season is a very magical time for not just individuals, but for families everywhere.
