Foolish Mortals....

The Haunted Mansion was builtt in 1963. It has such an amazing history because there wasn't much of one. The mansion itself was built and then stood for eight years waiting to have a purose. It was delayed mostly because of the Worlds Fair but also because of Walt Disney's deaath. The two imagineers onn the project had two differant veiws on the ride itself. One thought it should be funny and the other thought it should be scary. eventually their ideas clashed and they put a litttle of both in. Thus creating the Haunted Mansion we know and love.
